Music From The Heart
I have enjoyed music all my life, my father was a talented man and pick up a song with ease.
My mother, a very church going lady, was always singing around the house. So it is easy to see that I was exposed to music from a very young age.
The style of this music was Country, Oldies and Religious songs.
Church and School Choirs made it easy to continue my love of music. I performed in five musicals, but musicals are not country.
So I went back to the music I loved.
Because my parents were from Oklahoma and Missouri this is where I got my country style.
I took some time away from my music to raise a family. Eleven years ago I started performing again and have not turned back.
I have won more than 10 vocal contests and ranked high in many others. I feel that I now want to share my love of music more in a private setting then in a contest.
Music should be from the heart.
Let me share that with you.

Even Ed Sullivan, the scowling variety-show host of bygone days, would've
grinned Thursday as Surprise oldsters crooned, swooned and cut loose at the
city's first-ever "Senior American Idol" competition.
The event, held before a packed crowd at the Surprise Senior Center, featured a
competition among entertainers 50 years old and up. Acts ranged from belly
dancers to singers belting out oldies.
But it was Dennis "DJ" Jones who brought down the house with his rendition of
Roy Orbison's Pretty Woman. He worked the crowd, singling out the ladies -
including one 97-year-old fan - and generating a lot of smiles in the process.
"I was blessed with a voice, and my dad taught me how to use it, and I like to
share it," Jones said after his swoon-inducing performance.
